Taking a break...

 I realized the other day I hadn't seen or heard from a "Facebook" friend of mine.  He has been one of my "friends" since I first got on Facebook back in 2007.  I went to send him a message and he was no where to be found...
He had deactiviated his page. 
So I texted him. 

That's when he let me know he had been off Facebook since New Years.  One of his resolutions was to waste less time online.  He figured that would be impossible if he didnt take some drastic actions. 
I was shocked at first, then I realized; he was still alive, still happy, still my friend...

He inspired me to look at my own habilts. 

Ever since I shut off our "Cable" (DishNetwork) on 06/26.  I have been spending more time online.

- Long Story, Short.-

I have deactiviated my Facebook page. I want to read, play and sleep more. The three things that I WAS giving the best hours of my day to were;
 
TV, Internet & Work...

I have removed one, reduced another and now I need to turn my focus to "Work"... I don't know what to do about that one.
 
I'll still be on my Blog and you can always Text me...

One Month Later...

So I realized that its been a Month since I last posted something...
I felt like I should jump on and POST something inspiring, entertaining or at least interesting.

But I got nothing.  I have been sitting here for close to 2 hours and seriously... Nothing!

Anyway, here are a few short (less then a minute) videos I took today while I was working out with my trainer Micah at the Keith Poole Training Zone.







So that should give you a little bit of an idea of what I do from
4:55 - 6:15 every Mon, Wed, Fri. morning...

I have a TV Interview with Fox 10 AZ today at 10:15 in Scottsdale at Red Mountain Weight loss Center.  We'll see if it goes the same way the Channel 3 interview went from last week, 2 hour interview shaved down to about 90 seconds of me talking...

It's been a long time...

YO!

I am a man of my Word!
I said once the ChubHubCon
(short for Chubby Hubby Contest)
Was over, you would not hear from me again for a long time.  The term "long time" is a bit relative...
It's been almost a month since I went "dark" and began my "Radio Silence".  For ME... That is a LONG time.

So I'm back!  However, I will not come on as strong as before. So No need to fear, I will always be near, but never right up in your Ear!

Nov. 1st - 607lbs...
(6 Mos. later)
May 1st -  447lbs...

160lbs lost in 6 months...  Here's to doing it agian and being able to be down a FULL 300lbs by Nov. 1st 2011!

The Winner of the 2011 Chubby Hubby Contest...


No person with any amount of vision would ever call Tonya Chubby.
So let me clarify.
In less than an hour the Voting for the 2011 Chubby Hubby Contest Winner will be closed.
In about 8 hours the Votes will be tallied and the Winner announced.

However, No Matter which of the 6 men are announced.  Few people will ever know who really did most of the work and should truly earn the prizes and recognition...

No one has worked harder than Tonya in the last 8 weeks.  She not only entered me into a contest that I never would have entered myself into.  She single-handedly spear-headed a grass roots campaign to help me advance through the first round of Voting into the Second round.  I (She) received more Votes than the other 5 "Hubby's" combined...

Once I was Voted into the contest; She did all the shopping, made all my meals and stayed on top of me to make sure I was staying on point with the changes I had committed to make.  She not only made sure I ate ONLY the right foods, but that I did it at the right times, in the right amounts.  She had to make sure I was eating ALL my food too, knowing that too few calories was just as bad.

I have gotten all the attention for the the 140+ Lbs I've lost.  And for the first 80lbs. That is fair.  I had to start it off and do it alone.  Doing the first part by myself was an important and neccassary way to build my confidence and show Tonya that this time was different...

For the last 60+ Lbs of it there is a completely different story...
"Behind every Good Man is a GREAT Woman..."
I don't know how true that is for anyone else but for me its right on the Money...

Words cannot do My Wife justice.  So Please let me share with you the reason why you'll never need to look at my Checking Account to know that I am a Very, Very Rich man...

Got Any Advice on Gyms, Personal Trainers, Exercise etc... I want to hear it!

My Dad, his sister, his Dad...

All have had Both Knees replaced.  In hindsight I wish I was more careful with my Knees instead of accelerating my condition by being Morbidly Obese the majority of my life...
But they say Hindsight is 20/20.

Luckily my back pain has only gotten better and better as I become more active and shed LBS so I am encouraged that my Back issues were strictly weight related.

So My 2011 Goal is to Lose 247lbs...

I am already more than half way there.  However, I know the next 9 months will not be a walk in the park. I need a Personal Trainer to help me find effective Cardio and Strength Training exercises that I can do working around my Knees.

I have lost just over 140 lbs since I started my 2011 Goal (Nov. 1st).
The first 4 months I lost 80 lbs or an AVG of 20 lbs a month.
This last 6 weeks with significant changes to my diet. I doubled my loss from  -5 lbs a week to -10 lbs a week.  I have lost just over 60 lbs in the last 6 weeks.

This last 6 weeks (-60lbs)
I started working with Red Mountain Weight Loss center.

•        Drink Only Water. (No more Beloved Pepsi)
•        Drink 16 glasses (2 gallons) of Water a day. (This is hard, I get close most days)
•        Only eat 4 times a day; 2 Meals & 2 snacks, no grazing in between
•        2 Meals (10 am & 6 pm) are made of 8 oz of Lean Protein (Chicken, Steak, Fish)
•        And 8 oz of a Vegetable (Asparagus, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Spinach)
•        2 Snacks (6 am & 2 pm)  are each 1 serving of Fruit
          (Orange, Apple, ½ a Grapefruit or 6 Large Strawberries)
•        8 hours of sleep (also very hard for me...)
•        25 minutes of Cardio everyday (I am about to triple this starting 04/01/11)
•         No eating from 6pm – 6am to reset my body.
•         HCG drops under my tongue 2x daily (I will stop these when I run out in about a week)

By doing this I have lost an AVG of 10lbs a week.

I do take HCG drops 2x daily, however HCG does NOT help you lose weight or control your appetite.
 
HCG only tells the body NOT to burn Lean Muscle or Structural Tissue.  HCG also concentrates your fat burning from your Torso instead of from all over your body.  (Which is why the body naturally produces this Hormone in woman immediately after childbirth.)
 
I do the HCG because I was getting it free during the radio competition I was in. Now that I have to pay for it I won't and I'll tell you why. The diet & schedule Red Mountain & I laid out for me to follow is responsible for the -60lbs lost.  However, I have lost 12" Inches off my waist thanks to the HCG concentrating on my torso or “Belly Fat”.

The reason why I won'y pay for it is because HCG really isn’t designed for someone my size.  I’m not going to burn anything but fat at this point and wherever that fat comes from is fine.  The key is HCG does nothing if you are doing nothing to burn fat….

I still need to lose another 80lbs to reach my goals for this year and I should be able to do that as long as I keep working and don't quit.  However, I am realistic that this 80 will be as hard to lose or harder than the first 140...

My goal is to start an exercise routine By April 1st.  Which is tomorrow, I've been researching and working on it since the 17th of March when the "Chubby Hubby" contest ended.  So I feel I am ready to "pull the trigger" but I want to make sure I have looked at it from all angles and considered all possibilities.

Any Feedback or Suggestions on Diet and Especially on Exercise, Gyms, Personal Trainers etc... Is encouraged and welcomed.

Final Week of Voting...

6 weeks ago when I began asking for your vote to get me into the competition.  I promised I would work hard and I would not waste this opprotunity. I set aggressive goals for 30 days that would force me to push myself.

I set my Goals at losing 57 lbs & 12" Inches off my waist.


And the Truth is I missed my Goals.
In those 30 Days I lost 55lbs & 10" Inches of my waist. 

While I'm disappointed at missing my goals.  I can honestly say I gave it everything I had and I have No Regrets.
